Information design turns complexity into understanding
Double Jeopardy: Visualising the dangers of false climate solutions
Using information design to explain false climate solutions
This 48-page report for Friends of the Earth International examines misleading narratives around net zero and other market-based climate solutions. The challenge was making a highly technical subject accessible without losing accuracy.
A visual communication system was built around two contrasting categories: positive agroecological solutions and false climate solutions. Fifteen original infographics use colour, iconography and a consistent visual language to help readers compare approaches and navigate complex material.
The project expanded into a 12-page Executive Summary, online edition, French and Spanish translations, and social media graphics, ensuring the communication system remained consistent across formats, audiences and languages.
